If you're looking for a special beverage to serve at your bridal shower, bachelorette party or even on your big day, look no further. Dirty Blonde Cocktails offers a fun, bubbly alternative to the more traditional options, as well as the simplicity and ease of a pre-mixed drink.
Kristen Raskopf, founder of Dirty Blonde Cocktails, came up with the idea after looking for an alternative to existing margaritas and cosmopolitans.
"I had always enjoyed the sparkling bubbles in champagne cocktails, but hated watching unused bottles go flat after mixing only a few drinks, not to mention the time and expense of having to figure out what separate ingredients to buy. It was then that I set out to create an upscale line of 'champagne' cocktails that are stylish, convenient and, most importantly, fun!"
There are currently four different flavors for your guests to choose from: Peach Passion Bellini, Raspberry Flirtini, Citrus Mimosa and Sparkling Mojitio, all blended with a combination of bubbly white wine, fruit infusions and added spirits. With names and ingredients like that, guests are sure to be impressed and satisfied at your special occasion.
Dirty Blonde Cocktails are sold in party packs of four at BevMo.

If you're considering the DIY route–maybe arranging your bouquet or making centerpieces–you might want to think twice. Remember that scarf you knit? Yeah, the one with the uneven edge because you didn't realize you dropped stitches along the way. Or that time you spilled decoupage glue all over your carpet. Remember that?
One of our favorite bloggers, Meghan McAndrews of High Plains Thrifter, forwarded us this DIY reality check from another one of our favorite blogs, 100 Layer Cake–a must-read for brides. Often, saving some pennies isn't worth sacrificing your sanity. There are professionals for these types of things, ladies.

Joelle and John's Engagement Session, Part II. It seems one post with this engaged couple's themed photos by Kim Thiel Photography isn't enough. In addition to playing around with a baseball theme (see those photos here), they also spent an afternoon at the Outagamie County Fair in Seymour.

Wondering if an engagement session is necessary? For Kim Thiel Photography, they view an engagement shoot as an essential part of getting to know the bride and groom. Kim's cohort Jason says, "It's a chance for us to learn their personalities and build rapport with them so on their special day we aren't meeting them with our cameras for the first time."
Jason suggest challenging your photographer to make the session creative and personal. That's what they did with soon-to-be marrieds Joelle and John. The couple, now both physical education teachers, met in college, where he played baseball and she played softball. The baseball motif will continue through their November Oshkosh wedding, with themed center pieces (think baseballs, popcorn and peanuts), cakes, cookies and even a trivia game. In order for John and Joelle to kiss, guests will have to answer baseball questions, pitting a bride's team versus a groom's team. The first team to get three runs will end each inning, and the score will be tallied by the maid of honor and best man on an old school scoreboard. (I would strike out at this game, so good lucks guests!)
If you're wavering on the engagement session idea, think of it as your photographer's dress rehearsal. You can let them know what you like and what you don't like–something you don't want to leave until the wedding day.

When Kayla and Elliott (you may remember their super cute engagement session) recently married in Hudson, they treated guests to a full-on, no holds barred sugar overload, with cookies, cake, more cookies, donuts and more cookies on a dessert table. I cannot get over how cute the Minnesota and Wisconsin cookies (my two home states!) are. Emily Steffen photographed all the details, which you can see more of on her blog here. Congrats Kayla and Elliott! Way to treat your wedding guests right.
