Minimalism may be in, but that doesn't mean a well-placed larger element isn't still important to event design. "As a designer, I’m especially drawn to those beautiful 'blank slate' venues where you can create to your heart’s content without any visual obstacles," says Stephanie Huttner, designer at Parker Drive Design for Graceful Events. The stark white walls and concrete flooring at Boxed & Burlap were certainly a blank slate, but the team accentuated the space with rustic light fixtures, cranberry foliage and modern seating vignettes. "Guests would be drawn into the inviting cocktail lounge by the luxurious, modern, seating and a twinkling light installation, but would stay for the trendy signature cocktails and interactive champagne experience," says Huttner. The bridesmaids were adorned with wearable florals, which brought depth to their autumnal velvet gowns. The team for this shoot focused on incorporating an effortless template that any couple could find inspiration from.
