Invitations: Go Green

{1} A New Leaf
Kate Clapper, owner of Flying Rabbit Press, found her muse in the hoya plant in her studio, using its trailing vines as the inspiration for this simple, elegant design. Her drawings of the greenery became the focal point; green hand-drawn script and a clean brown font are set atop thick cotton paper and paired with an envelope in muted mint, for a suite to delight every invitee.

{2} Green Light
“Greens can be just as beautiful as their floral counterparts,” says Danielle Cole, owner and designer at DCo Lovenotes—clearly evident in this design featuring lush wreaths of foliage. Here, Cole combines sage-toned watercolors with rose gold calligraphic type, adding a hint of whimsy to the sophisticated ivory and green palette.

{3} Natural Selection
Elizabeth Webber of Coqui Paperie & Gifts combined modern and traditional elements to create this one-of-a-kind suite. With olive and eucalyptus branches as inspiration for the watercolor paintings that frame the edges of the design, she added printed contemporary calligraphic script and a traditional serif font, all atop the pocket-fold, laser-cut metallic green cardstock.

{4} This Side of Paradise
Ellen Albertson, owner of Paper Pleasers, designed this suite around the couple’s monogram motif, using a combination of hard lines and flowing flora to set off the elegant initials. The contrasting structured shapes and soft greenery create a marriage of styles that complement each other as beautifully as the soon-to-be-wed couple.
