When you think about Harley-Davidson, weddings might not be the first things that come to mind. Even if they were, leather, helmets, and steel-toe boots might be a few of the images conjured up. However, the major Milwaukee icon is so much more than a throaty motor roaring down the road. As shown in the fun images of Brittany and Dave's big day, shot beautifully by TJ Uttke Photography, the Harley-Davidson Museum as a venue offers a mix of cool industrial details that create a unique juxtaposition to the more formal wedding day feeling. The bride and groom, already with their own rocker vibe, played off the venue space, adding edgy touches that still felt elegant enough for saying "I do." Black lace trim on the bride's gown, black sneakers paired with all-black tuxes and white bow ties, and stilettos embellished with spikes (yet still super feminine) helped to crank the volume on the wow factor. Anyone from this area can attest one of the most famous things about Milwaukee is Harley-Davidson. The museum located on the river is gigantic and one of the most photogenic wedding venues in Milwaukee. Brittany and Dave started their day at the beautiful St. Mary’s Church then headed over to the H-D museum to continue the celebration. We were like kids in a candy store.
Brittany put a lot of personal touches into the wedding, like making all of the bridesmaids jewelry, the caketopper and stand, and she even did her own makeup amongst other things. One thing they didn’t prepare for was the Best Man speech. Dave’s brother, Ryan (aka Chubbs), gave the longest speech we’ve ever heard (and we’ve heard a lot of speeches)! It was full of laughs though – he certainly entertained the room!
