Who says you shouldn’t play games in relationships? Ashlee and Matthew Hogsett, who met when they were studying multimedia at ITT Technical Institute, created a video game theme for their wedding that included video game magnet favors, a Dig Dug/Mario Bros 3/Galaga cake and Super Mario Bros theme music as they exited the aisle. But before the fun and games, there was a summer’s worth of renovation work on the wedding site, where the couple spent their first date. Friends and family gathered at Matthew’s family home to create a romantic reception hall in a rustic barn, which served as a memorable backdrop for the day’s festivities. “Our family and friends put their hearts, souls and bodies into our wedding,” Ashlee says, “and that made it a million times better than any hotel reception hall.”
