Darrah & Ross
Milwaukee history took center stage at the June nuptials of Darrah and Ross Widmoyer. Darrah, an architect, and Ross, who proclaims himself a “student of history,” highlighted the hidden architectural treasures of Brew City throughout their special day. From the couple’s ceremony at St. Hedwig’s, an 1887 structure of Gothic and Romanesque design, to the reception at The Wisconsin Club, an 1800s Italianate-style mansion, the city’s history came alive for the Widmoyers and their guests. They also managed to sneak in a photo session at the original Pabst Brewery site. After the ceremony and a garden cocktail gathering on the grounds of The Wisconsin Club, guests made their way into the venue’s lavish interior, which was decorated with orange accents, giving the room an ethereal glow. And the rest, as they say, is history.
