Elisabeth & Brian

Real Weddings

Elisabeth & Brian
Sept. 4, 2010 with a ceremony at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Marinette and a reception in a tent overlooking Green Bay at Berg’s Landing in Menominee, Mich.

Elisabeth and Brian Lesandrini didn’t follow tradition for tradition’s sake at their September nuptials. “We didn’t want to do things just because it’s what you’re supposed to do at a wedding,” Elisabeth says. Instead, the couple focused on the things they love to create a unique ceremony and reception. Brian, a baseball coach and lifelong fan, sported cufflinks made from real baseballs, which Elisabeth gifted him the day of the wedding. Even the couple’s signature drink, Lava Flow, was chosen for its sentimental value—they first tried the concoction during a trip to Hawaii. The reception, which was held in an enormous tent outside Berg’s Landing restaurant, was decorated with white linens and silver organza overlays, walnut chiavari chairs and three varieties of sparkling hydrangea, orchid, rose and peony centerpieces. Brian and Elisabeth’s table—a romantic spot for two—was highlighted with mirrored containers, flowers, candles and gems.
