Hallie & Auren

July 3, 2011 at a family home on Pine Lake in Nashotah

Wanting fireworks and a small-town, yesteryear feeling on their wedding day, Hallie Mitchell and Auren Hoffman chose the bride’s parents’ house on Pine Lake for their nuptials, a small, intimate affair. “The Fourth of July is our favorite holiday, so even though we aren’t from Wisconsin, it just made sense,” says Hallie. The ceremony took place lakeside, then moved to the front of the home for a reception amongst the trees, which were decorated with lights. Hallie had worked for the judge who married the couple, and in keeping with the patriotic tilt, during the ceremony Hallie read a love letter from Abigail Adams to her husband John Adams, the second president of the United States. “The best advice I got before the wedding was to spend time together,” says Hallie. “There was a moment during the ceremony where Auren just held me; that was so special and made the day, along with everything else, so magical.”
