Hannah & Drew
Hannah and Drew Hettinga, who met as children in church, reunited at a Christmas Eve service a decade later. In June, the couple wed in a traditional ceremony at New Hope Community Church in Wausau, the scene of their childhood meeting years earlier. While the couple rode to their reception in a vintage (and pink!) Cadillac, guests enjoyed wine and cheese from Hannah’s cousin’s dairy farm in Indiana. A vintage dresser served as a makeshift bar, where friends of the couple handled the bartending duties. Guests raved about the comfort-food meal of pulled pork, barbecue chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, baked beans, fruit salad, coleslaw and—Drew’s favorite—ice-cold milk. The nature-inspired theme carried through the reception with wildflower centerpieces, table numbers painted on pieces of wood and the picturesque outdoor setting.
