Jen & Tucker

Sept. 23, 2011 at The Enchanted Barn in Hillsdale

Jen Cronk and Tucker Burch met while working at a Marshfield Menards, so it’s no surprise that this couple wanted something homey and DIY for their September nuptials. “Across the board, we wanted something different,” says Jen. “We wanted something a bit rustic, a bit vintage and a whole lot ‘us.’ ” Instead of “a white box with floral carpeting,” the couple chose The Enchanted Barn in Hillsdale. They wrote the seating chart on an old window from Jen’s great-great-grandparents’ house. The bride’s veil was a combination of old and new; she stitched a piece of lace from her mother’s veil into one she purchased. Instead of ring pillows, the couple made ring bowls from modeling clay, complete with personal messages for one another. The crowning touch? Invoking America’s Team without going gaudy and gold. “The underlying theme, with the green and yellow, was the Packers,” says Jen. “We wanted to keep it classy.”
