Julie & Jake
Julie and Jake took “quality over quantity” to heart with their July nuptials. The 13-guest wedding at a rented vacation home just south of Madison was a true family affair. Since the couple’s families are spread across the country, Jake and Julie chose Wisconsin as a central meeting spot. Set on a hill, the home offered seclusion and privacy for the four-day wedding weekend. The couple exchanged handwritten vows on the lush garden patio, with Jake’s sister officiating and Julie’s two brothers each reading a poem. The décor was simple and elegant, with orange roses providing a burst of color against the white table linens. The vivid hue was picked up in Julie’s bouquet and Jake’s boutonniere. The couple chose rings made of meteorite for a unique twist on traditional wedding jewelry.
