Julie & Tom

Dec. 28, 2010 at Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum in Milwaukee

Julie Cole and Tom Kihl’s December nuptials were, quite literally, a dream come true. While the couple had intended to have a destination wedding, Julie had a vivid dream they were to be married over the holidays in Milwaukee. So with less than three months to plan, the couple set out to create a romantic holiday wedding. Since Julie and Tom decided to host their wedding on a Tuesday night, they were able to book the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum on short notice. Waiters greeted guests at the door with steaming glasses of peppermint hot chocolate and apple-ginger spiced cider with brandy. The museum, fully decorated for the holidays in Della Robbia, provided a stunning backdrop. But it was the combination of close family and friends that made it a truly special evening—particularly when Julie’s 16-year-old daughter presented a surprise musical slideshow of pictures of Julie and Tom from their six years of dating.
