Katie and Chris: An Elegant Event at The Pfister Hotel

It's hard to say what's to love more about Katie and Chris's stunning Milwaukee wedding: the regal setting that comes with an elegant event held at The Pfister Hotel, or the way the evening's spring fog softend the hard edges of rocky background to make the couple appear as if they were floating on clouds. Either way, with the love these two shared while surrounded by friends and family, perhaps the etherally feel is what best describes the mood for the day. The bride looked glamourous in her Hayley Paige gown that combined jeweled sparkle against flutters of feminine sheer fabric. The groom was dashing in a custom tuxedo from Indochino. The special event was made even more sophisticated by upscale touches, including: gold chivari chairs, pale peach, gold, and ivory flowers, gold mercury glass candle holders and vases, and Kate Spade white bridesmaid dresses. With all of the beautiful details that dotted this day, you don't want to miss a single gorgeous moment as was captured by Studio 29

From the bride:

Though Chris and I grew up and now live in the suburbs of Chicago, we fell in love in (and with!) Milwaukee. While Chris finished up school at Milwaukee School of Engineering, we spent several years going back and forth from Milwaukee to Chicago. We grew to love everything about Milwaukee; the people, the bars and restaurants, and the overall vibe. When it came time to select a wedding venue, there was no question where we were headed. And once we saw the Pfister Imperial Ballroom, we were in awe and knew it was the place.

Our planning was a whirlwind nine months of long distance decisions, many of which were decided through phone calls and texts with our wonderful vendors. Our wedding day was full of every joyous emotion and pure happiness. Each moment of the day was better than the last. To see Chris as I walked down the aisle was such an overwhelming moment of contentment and love. After the ceremony, with the small wedding party in tow, we hopped on a trolley and headed to the lakefront to take photographs with a beautiful foggy backdrop.

One of my favorite moments of the day was when we returned to The Pfister, and Chris and I got our first glimpse of the Ballroom. It was stunning and overwhelming to see each detail we had carefully selected for the day come to fruition. The flowers, the chairs, and the centerpieces looked like they were in existence to complete an already perfect room. Each moment that followed was stunning...the speeches, the band, the dancing. Chris and I are so grateful for all of our friends, family and vendors who made the day so memorable and seemless.
