Krista & Rob

Sept. 19, 2009 at Gordon Lodge in Baileys Harbor

Krista Seidl drew inspiration from her grandparents’ wedding photographs as she planned her September nuptials with Robert Domol. As she perused the albums, one detail immediately caught her attention: One of her grandmothers had a simple reception in a garage filled with cedar boughs. The ceiling was completely covered and created a beautiful canopy. While Krista couldn’t replicate that aspect exactly, she used cedar as a theme in the pew decorations, garland, and reception centerpieces. Her parents cut slabs of cedar for the centerpieces and wood for table numbers, while friends helped gather other décor like mason jars and glass vases. Heatherbrook Farm created the finished product, and supplied bundled herbs and flowers. The couple kept the details unique by using rocks from Lake Michigan as rustic placecards and serving a custom cake by the groom’s sister.
