Morgan & Joe

Dec. 3, 2011 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Oconomowoc and Grain Exchange in Milwaukee

Engaged on a ski vacation in Colorado, Morgan Sipek and Joe Jursenas wanted snow and cold weather on their wedding day. “Snow is very romantic to us,” says Morgan. But instead of snow, they got pouring rain. “We were very nervous that we couldn’t get outside to take any photos, but it cleared up right after the ceremony and we went outside for some lovely shots,” says Morgan. “Rain on the wedding day means good luck ... right?” If dodging raindrops wasn’t enough fun, the couple wanted to make sure guests were entertained. They had an artist draw caricatures of the guests to take home, and because Morgan’s family members are fans of Dancing with the Stars, the couple hired two dancers from the show, Edyta and Alec, to perform at the reception. “We kept it a surprise, and it went over as a big hit!”
