Nautical Meets Nature in a Sweet Outdoor Soiree
When Jami and Kyle decided to tie the knot, they knew that their love for both the outdoors and the water would be the backdrop for their big day. Spending much of their summer free time at their Waupaca cottage, the couple wanted nautical elements as unique personal touches for their rustic outdoor wedding. To do so, the traditional guest book was swapped with oars for their friends and family to sign. And custom wooden water skis and decorated buoys with the couples' names and wedding date brought fun details to the day's decor. The outdoor setting was softened by a pastel palette that popped in the groom and groomsmen ties and the bridesmaids' vibrant peach hued dresses. But what captured the heart of the guests--second to the bride and groom, of course--was the ring bearer's sweet smile and sign that read, "Uncle Kyle, here comes your girl." Get ready to swoon! Congrats to Jami and Kyle Bahr!
From the photographer:
Jami and Kyle’s love story began with their first kiss at the top of a slide outside their favorite summer spot, the Clearwater Harbor in Waupaca. Little did each of them know that this very special kiss would be their last first kiss! They fell in love and when came time for him to ask, Kyle had something special planned for Jami. He took her on a picnic to a special local spot on the river where her parents had gotten married. She had just returned home from an seven-week clinical in Florida, and the picnic was meant for both of them to enjoy some long overdue alone time. Following brunch, Kyle pulled out a present of sparklers he had gotten for her (it was the fourth of July, and sparklers are one of Jami’s favorite things). Little did she know that on the bottom of the sparklers was an even more sparkly present, the ring! He asked, she said “yes” and the next year was spent anticipating and planning every last detail to make sure their big day was nothing short of spectacular--and it was! Jami and Kyle share a love for the water, spending most of their summer time at their cottage in Waupaca, enjoying sports and the outdoors. These loves were inspiration for their rustic, Waupaca wedding. The couple married outside next to a pond and both the ceremony and reception added nautical and rustic touches including canoe paddles as their unique guest book.
From the couple:
Perfect is the only word that comes to mind when trying to begin explaining the best day of our lives! The day was a complete whirlwind of vows, pictures, kissing, dancing, and spending time with our favorite people in the world! We would do it over in a heartbeat!
