Rob and Anna Take the Ride of Their Lives
Rob and Anna's wedding was reminiscent of a perfect summer day: roller coasters, ice cream, a brew pub party, live music, fireworks--no detail was overlooked. Neutral and pastel colors dotted the day, from the bridesmaids pink and teal shoes beneath beige lace dresses to the flower girls' in sweet pink. The bride looked lovely in her long lace gown, while the groom and groomsmen upped the swag factor in dapper tuxedos. It's the kind of event that when you look back at in photos (such as the amazing job done by Amenson Studio), you relive the happy memories or feel a tad sad you didn't get an invite to such a cool celebration (ahem...that would be us). Get ready to feel the envy, too...
From the photographers:
This day was pure joy and heat and National Ice Cream day--all in all, a good combination. We could photograph Rob and Anna's wedding day a hundred times over and never get bored.
The day started out with the usual: lovely ladies at the salon and some dashing gentlemen getting ready at the Hyatt. The girls went back to Anna's parents home for finishing touches. We have no other way to explain it, but some homes contain a warmth when you enter, and that would be an accurate description of the Schmidt home. You can just tell that these people have a genuine love and appreciation for one another. We caught some sweet moments with Anna's mom and dad, especially when Anna gave her father custom "father of the bride" cuff links. When the dress went on, we're fairly certain there was an audible gasp as Anna came down the stairs.
We made our way to the stunning, St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in downtown Green Bay and the music started. If ever there was a groom more excited and caught up in the moment of seeing his bride for the first time, it was Rob. There were so many moments throughout the day where you could tell he felt like the luckiest man on the planet that this beautiful bride said "yes."
After a heartfelt and sentimental ceremony, we changed gears, boarded the Lamers Trolley and headed straight for Bay Beach. Bridal party + roller coaster = AWESOME! And since you can't have your wedding on National Ice Cream Day without getting ice cream, that's what we did.
Each detail of the reception at Titletown Taproom was beautiful with stations for food, lounge areas and gorgeous lighting and centerpieces. Big Mouth and the Power Tool Horns kicked off the party where the dancing never stopped. And then, as if the entire day wasn't enough to gush about, as their guests lined up to send them off in the classic Chevy convertible, Rob and Anna were greeted by fireworks over the Fox River (a surprise from their parents).
