Two Exchange Rings to Ring in the New Year

January is often a time for making changes that help to improve life in one way or another. Dropping a few pounds, kicking a bad habit, being more adventurous, or eating more vegetables typically make the list. But for Katie and Jordan, the used this time of year to make one of the biggest changes of all: they ditched the single life and exchanged rings to ring in the New Year.

Sash & Bow elegantly planned a winter wedding filled with the sparkle of Katie's dreams, and Studio L Photography perfectly captured the twinkle of love in the couples' eyes. The decor was a combo of snowflakes, purple sequins, bold red bouquets, and crisp white accents that came together for a modern and sophisticated affair. The guests danced the night away as the year advanced to 2014, and Katie and Jordan advanced as husband and wife.

From the bride:

From the time we got engaged, I knew I wanted a winter wedding. I have always loved the sparkle of the holiday season, and when you're marrying a baseball coach, you are definitely limited when it comes to finding a date. No matter what, I knew it would be cold, so there was no getting upset about the weather no matter how cold it could or would be. While I wanted our day to have the holiday/ New Year's Eve theme, I had no interest in having Christmas trees as decor. I wanted sparkle. I wanted modern yet timeless.

Shot by Studio L Photography, we had the most perfect winter wedding day. A traditional church ceremony beautifully accented with red florals at St. Matthew Parish is where we said 'I Do!' Our floral designer, A Schwarz Event, truly went above and beyond in transforming our church into a breathtaking venue. After the ceremony, our guests were treated to coffee and hot cocoa courtesy of Jo-to-Go; our guests LOVED this personal touch, and they were able to stay warm as they made their way from our ceremony to the reception.

The Meadows in Green Bay is where we decided on for our reception venue. With it being the holiday, we wanted our guests to have a place to stay if they so chose, making The Meadows the perfect location! With the help of Alliey from Sash & Bow, we were able to transform the cocktail area and ballroom at The Meadows into the most perfect New Year's Eve reception! White leather lounges lined the cocktail area giving guests a place to relax as they sipped their cocktails, while the ballroom was transformed into the most perfect New Year's Eve Party!
