Sonya and Gabe put on quite the spectacular event when they used circuses and summer carnivals as the inspiration for their whimsical wedding. The first thing to catch your eye? Color! Not only are they bright and vivid in almost neon shades, but they're everywhere. The bride donned hot pink pumps and the groom blue and pink oxfords. The bridesmaids fell in step in a kaleidoscope of hued heels, while the groomsmen went toe-to-toe with the ladies in eccentric socks of their own. And the colorful theme continues in the jewerly, bouquets, big ballooons and paper decorations, which were all handmade by the bride. While this big day wasn't devoid of tradition, the couple definitely decided to use the event to show their less serious side. And it paid off in a festive wedding wonderfully captured by Hailey Lundborg Photography and enjoyed by all the guests in attendance.

Gabe and I wanted our wedding to be a celebration. I am not much for being serious and love laughter and seeing smiles on people’s faces. Bright colors have always been my favorite, adding so much spunk and energy to life. We wanted some traditional wedding aspects but also wanted the feel of a fun, non-stop party from the beginning to end. A special touch included our friend, Brian Austin, riding his unicycle down the aisle to circus- themed music delivering our rings and surprising our guests. We had a punch and popcorn buffet on the patio after the ceremony and then moved the party to Jalapeno’s Mexican Restaurant for margaritas, Mexican food and candy and dessert buffets. After a great meal we danced the night away to an incredible local entertainer D-Joe, complete with an amazing light show. We heard time and time again from our guests that our wedding was the most fun wedding they had ever attended. Mission accomplished!
