A stunning bride, a handsome man in uniform, and a beautiful beach setting (yes, in Wisconsin!) are pretty much the three perfect ingredients for an unforgettable wedding. Sara and Danny met, fell in love, and got engaged at Point Beach State Park, so the park's Rawley Point Lighthouse was the ideal spot for the couple to share their "I dos." The couple expressed their love beneath a rustic arch built on site with wood from the area by the groom's friend and owner of Gauthier Furniture. The waterfront location made for an amazing big day, and the festivities ended with a bonfire surrounded by friends and fireworks in the night sky. Sara and Danny met at the beach, when she walked up to Danny's roommate to pet his puppy but quickly noticed the southern boy with a cute accent and t-shirt with cut off sleeves (his favorite kinda shirt). Sara knew within the first month that she was going to marry that southern boy in uniform! Danny is from Tennessee and stationed in Two Rivers at the Coast Guard, and Sara is a hairstylist at Lords N Ladies in Manitowoc. About six months after meeting, Sara and Danny found out that they were expecting a baby but a few weeks later Sara suffered a miscarriage leaving her in the hospital for a few days. It was at that point Sara knew Danny would always be there for her.
On June 27th, I photographed what I would call the perfect wedding at Point Beach State Park! Sara and Danny's wedding was very laid back, intimate, and non-traditional. It was just Sara and Danny celebrating their love at the very place Danny proposed. I am happy to share that Sara and Danny are expecting again, due around Christmas.
