When Hannah and Jesse got engaged, they wanted to be surrounded by family--including Hannah's brother, Ethan, who was on duty with the Marines. To everyone's surprise, Ethan's temporary homecoming would come sooner than expected, giving Hannah and Jesse just 13 days--not weeks--to put together the Wisconsin wedding of their dreams. But you wouldn't guess their haste from looking at the pictures shot by Hailey Lundborg Photography. This small family affair took place in a rustic wood cabin, where each guest had a wool plaid blanket stitched with the couples' names and wedding date waiting to keep them toasty against a snowy March backdrop. Hannah met Jesse two years ago and both became true believers of the saying ,"When you know, you know."They both share a love for the outdoors and their local area, so their bonding was instant. Jesse surprised Hannah with a proposal in February 2014. They both knew they didn't want a big, traditional wedding and with Hannah's brother, Ethan, being a Marine and stationed out of state, they both knew they wanted to plan the wedding when everyone will be home. Little did they know, Ethan was coming home six weeks after their engagement. Having the golden opportunity that EVERYONE will be home, Hannah and Jesse had 13 days to plan their wedding. They planned on having just a intimate guest list of 35 family members and with just a few days left everything--venue, caterer, florist, officiant, photographer--fell perfectly into place. Even the dress fit like a glove right off of the store floor set mannequin! Everything had worked out perfectly. The excitement of planning a wedding in just a couple weeks made it that much more special, with huge thanks from Hannah's sister, Rachel, who helped the planning beside her. When March 29th arrived, the entire day was as beautiful and spectacular as their relationship. A few days prior fell three feet of snow, and it a was a brisk 43 degrees. Still the golden sun bounced beautifully off the trees and land. By 6:30 when the ceremony was ready to start--the sun was setting over the still snow covered lake making up a perfect backdrop for the ceremony. "The night was filled with warm love, happiness and laughter," says bride Hannah. "Hailey did the most amazing job capturing every feeling and emotion of our special day, and now I can look at the pictures and escape right to those exact moments of blissful perfection. We're six months into marriage and loving every second. The good stuff in life just keeps coming!"
