Twig and Olive Photography is an internationally recognized photography studio based in Madison, Wisconsin. We focus on editorial weddings, authentic families, and styled newborn sessions. Our brand emphasizes the experiences clients have before, during, and after photography takes place. We regularly travel, enjoying beautiful and scenic locations with our clients. Being also photography educators, we love sharing our techniques and business practices in mentorship, workshops, and speaking engagements.

Twig & Olive provided the photography on our wedding day on October 28, 2017, and we are very happy we chose them! From the outset, Doug was an instrumental part of planning our entire day. His attention to detail, thoughtful approach to various options, and encouragement to consider many aspects we hadn’t thought about, made for a very smooth wedding day. Doug was also very receptive to our input, and did a great job accommodating our preferences without compromising his artistry. Their approach is very “narrative driven,” rather than simply showing up to take family portraits. Doug and his assistant Catherine spent a lot of time with us throughout the day – “getting ready” pics, capturing various details (rings, dress, etc.), “first look,” wedding party candids before and after the ceremony, a very efficient formal family session, and reception/dance. Doug kept things moving without making us feel forced or rushed, and we can’t wait to see the final product (especially considering all of the people and locations we managed to shoot)! Twig & Olive are definitely a premium operation – in addition to beautiful and artistic photography, the level of service made it well worth it for us!
Bobbi was our photographer and she was amazing! She listened to what we wanted and she did a wonderful job on the day of the wedding. Our guests thought that she was a friend of ours because she was so friendly and outgoing. I LOVE our photos and I can't stop looking at them! Twig & Olive was well worth the money. I can't wait to book them again when we have babies! :)

Doug and Bobbi did an excellent job with coordinating pictures the day of our wedding and keeping everyone on task. The pictures were amazing! They did a great job of telling a story through each of our pictures.
The sneak peeks brought tears to my eyes because it felt just as though we had the chance to relieve the day :) Your hard work does not go unnoticed - we had so many compliments on your work and the way the flow went that day with the pictures! Again, a huge thank you and we couldn't ask for better photographers!
