1. Map It Out

When Amy Turim and Justin Fermenich said that they wanted to feature the city of Milwaukee in their wedding invites, Tara Scheuerman of Cracked Designs was bursting with ideas. Inspired by vintage-style Milwaukee maps, postcards and signage, Scheuerman got right to work creating a suite with ivory textured card stock and brown Kraft paper. And when the couple said they liked the idea of mixing typography, the designer developed the perfect plan of attack. Says Scheuerman, “Milwaukee imagery is so rich, it was easy to pull inspiration from it all.” Cracked Designs, Milwaukee, 414.687.8803

2. Razzle-Dazzle

Exuberant wording pairs with a dash of sparkle in this sassy yet elegant suite by Missy Stein of Paper Piper. The classic matte charcoal card stock grounds the cohesive mix of silver glitter and luxurious metallic white stock. Stein wanted to create a raw-industrial feel with a pop of glamour adding a feminine touch. “Think unpolished metal and wood with an amazing crystal chandelier,” she says. Paper Piper, Madison, 608.236.4555

3. Fanciful Fête

There was plenty of inspiration for Heather Raffel of Sugar River Stationers when she designed this invitation suite for Amy Renk and Taj Tariq. Raffel played off the couple’s design interests, including rose-gold metallics, confetti and Kate Spade-inspired branding. To create the wedding monogram, Raffel combined some personal details—Amy’s love of high-heeled pumps and Taj’s passion for bow ties. “It was a playful characterization for their invitation suite,” says Raffel. In addition to all the personal details, a soft watercolor effect was added to the programs and tags to complete this luxe suite. Sugar River Stationers, Verona, 608.798.0427
