Ask those closest to Megan Gracyalny and Andrew Fabry, and they’ll tell you that the two have been in love forever and a day. That’s because the couple met in middle school and began dating just two years later. Once college plans were made, their carefree young love faced the challenge of long-distance romance, relying on love letters, surprise gifts and many visits to keep the spark alive. But no matter how many miles separated these two, they always knew they were meant to be together. When it came time for the big day, choosing a reception venue was easy, as the couple wanted to make it personal. “We always knew we wanted to have the wedding in the backyard of the home Andrew grew up in,” says Megan. “This is where his parent’s wedding reception was over 27 years ago, and it meant so much to us to have it there.” The sprawling yard was shaded by a canopy of gorgeous old trees and accented with plenty of floral arrangements featuring peonies—a must-have for the bride and groom. Guests felt like they were attending a destination wedding, many commenting the day had a Cape Cod feel. And for the newlyweds, the magical day was a “wonderful blur of happiness.”
