Finding the right decor for your wedding is an imposing task - the pressure is on to make sure you express your personality as a couple while staying within your means. Kellen and Matt wanted a few things from their wedding: "a simple, rustic, modern Milwaukee garden party with an international flair." Their secret to striking the right balance? Letting their venues do the talking. The couple had their first look and formal portraits at the Milwaukee Art Museum - an iconic destination for sleek, sculptural design and a striking white backdrop. Following a touching ceremony at Lake Park Lutheran Church, the group headed to Hotel Madrid for an eight-course family-style meal, complete with live music and specialty cocktails. The hotel has a playful urban vibe that lends itself to minimal decoration while still making maximum impact. Little details like clean fonts and sprays of greenery added personality but stayed true to the hotel's existing modern vibe.
