Jamie & Mike: A Rustic Country Barn Wisconsin Wedding
Jamie Fallon and her groom, Mike Sparger, wanted a rustic country wedding to reflect their shared love of the outdoors. And they got lucky, stumbling upon a new venue, a converted barn near Arena called Sugarland. There, they exchanged vows under a majestic oak tree, but not before their 2-year-old ring bearer (the bride’s nephew and godson) offered a little comic relief. “On his 50-yard walk down the aisle, he swung the ring pillow around and around,” the bride recounts. By the time he reached the groom, he was bearing only an empty pillow. Watching from afar, the bride and her father were waiting for their cue to begin their procession and growing curious as they saw the wedding party wandering around, heads down. Little did the bride know they were searching for the rings. Fortunately the rings were quickly found in the grass, much to the delight of the guests and the happy couple. Not only did they celebrate their love that day, they ended up falling in love with the bucolic setting. “It will always hold a special place in our hearts,” says Jamie.
