For Kellen and Matt, Hotel Madrid and the Milwaukee Art Museum reflected their desire for a quirky, modern and international wedding.
Katie and Jacob's Winter Wedding at The Barn at Harvest Moon Pond
Rustic elegance and sweet romance combined together in Katie and Jacob's beautiful wedding day at The Barn at Harvest Moon Pond. Personal touches were aplenty as the couple relied on family and friends to make their special day uniquely their own. From the cakes made by Katie's mom, to the twinkle lights strung by friends, to the DIY flower arrangments styled the day before, everyone had a helping hand in making the couple's big day one they'll never forgot. Come see all the lovely details captured wonderfully by MNReynolds Photography...
From the bride:
After being together for nine years, Jacob and I know who we are as a couple, and that self-knowledge
shaped our goals for the day. Our wedding was intimate, authentic, and practical,
with a rocking dance party--exactly what we wanted. And it only turned out that way because of
our friends and family.
My mom made our delicious wedding bundt cakes (in three different
flavors and four different types of bundt pans, including one shaped like a castle!). One of our
best friends officiated. Another managed the music. Everyone involved in the wedding and their
significant others helped us decorate the venue the morning of the wedding with hundreds of
feet of string lights, all borrowed from our "Best People" (Matron of Honor and Best Man). A
couple bridesmaids, my mom, and I made the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages from
wholesale flowers the day before the wedding. And our guests did some serious dancing, just as
we hoped they would.
Apart from getting married, celebrating with our friends and family was
the best part of the wedding. For all the couples getting married, we hope your wedding day,
and pre- and post-wedding days, are as filled with friends, family, and love as ours.
