Cecilia and Scott's wedding day combined both their styles in their favorite city.
Ship to Shore: A Charming Lakeside Wedding at The Waters Oshkosh
We fell head over heels for Anglea and John's big day at the historic and breathtaking venue, The Waters Oshkosh. The gorgeous weather highlighted the natural beauty of the ceremony on Lake Winnebago, while the stunning architecture of the venue gave the reception a classic sophistication. The setting was scattered throughout with sweet details - from vintage postcards and playful signage to delightful hydrangeas and a floral wedding cake - all of which effortlessly complimented the elegant blue & white nautical color scheme. After celebrating with family and friends, the elated couple posed together amongst the pictaresque sailboats on the weathered, wooden docks of the marina for a few quiet and romantic moments at sunset.
From the photographer:
"Angela & John were married at The Waters in Oshkosh Wisconsin in early August 2016. If you've never been to The Waters, you are in for a visual treat! It is one of my all time favorite venues in Wisconsin. The Waters was built by architect William Waters in 1903. It originally served as the Oshkosh Yacht Club. It was restored in 2008, and it is now used as a special event venue. It is situated right on the shores of Lake Winnebago. It has the most stunning views, and the building itself is a work of art.
Angela & John chose a navy blue and white theme for their lovely wedding. Their ceremony was held right next to the water. It was so beautiful outside, and it couldn't have been more perfect for an outdoor ceremony on the water. Angela wore a stunning strapless gown. The classical look of her gown was absolutely perfect for their venue and decor. John wore a navy blue suit, accented with the most dapper checkered bow tie. The bridesmaid's wore mismatched navy gowns, and the groomsmen wore grey suits. The bouquets were made with stunning white florals and pastel greenery. Everything felt perfectly nautical without being overbearing.
The dinner and reception were held in different rooms of The Waters. The upstairs room served as the dining room for the wedding. Amazing chandeliers hang from the ceiling, adding a warm glow to the room. The walls and ceilings are full of stunning architectural elements. The dance portion of the wedding was held in the lower room, where dark wood floors add to the ship-like feel of the lower portion of the building. We took Angela & John out on the Waters property at sunset for their images together, and it was absolutely stunning. Between the beautiful waters of the lake, the sailboats, marina and seabirds, it felt like we were on the coast enjoying a beautiful sunset. The Waters is such a fabulous venue, and Angela & John made it even more fabulous with their love for each other."
