There may not have been sun shining overhead, but what lacked in weather for Carrie and Joe's special day was made up for by the stunning setting filled with natural fall beauty. Donning a sweet pair of rain boots, the bride wore an A-line gown as she walked down the aisle of her parent's land, stream gently trickling by her side, to meet the man of her dreams. The two shared their "I Dos" beneath an leaf-decorated arch frame that was handmade, much like many of the personalized details of this couple's entire event. The celebration continued at the Ice Age Pavillion, where the newlyweds swapped the tradional receiving line and instead poured their guests their first beverages of the evening. The night ended with a tasty treat of homemade ice cream bars courtesy of the mothers of the bride and groom. Joe and Carrie's late October wedding ceremony took place at Carrie's parents home in Rib Lake, overlooking the beautiful stream in their backyard. Even though the weather was not ideal, the couple truly made the most of their day. The outdoor ceremony was still complete and surrounded by family and friends. Joe and Carrie decorated their venue hall with fall-like decorations, included photographs of different places to see, such as the Grand Canyon and the Jenny Lake Museum at Grand Teton. Joe and Carrie wanted to keep a tradition going where the bride and groom served the first drink to each of their guests, a fun twist on the receiving line! A final special piece to the couple's wedding was the homemade ice cream bars made by the bride and groom's mothers.
