Chandler & Greg: Midwest Elegance at Hidden Meadow and Barn

From: Spring/Summer 2017 edition

Chandler Taylor and Greg Dryke first met their freshman year of college at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities, where the two lived on the same dorm floor. What started as a friendship progressed into a series of awkward half-dates and missed kiss opportunities (which the couple notes may have had something to do with their nearly 1-foot height difference). Years after the two finally made the successful transition to a more serious relationship, Greg got down on one knee 175 feet in the air atop the Seattle Great Wheel, in the city where the couple now resides. Chandler said yes, and the pair began planning their Midwest wedding from afar, with plenty of help from family and friends.

“Living in Seattle, we see everyone very infrequently; our families and friends are spread nationwide,” says Chandler. “Somehow it worked out that nearly all of our loved ones were able to attend, and we made every effort to make the weekend feel like a big reunion for everyone, not just ourselves.” Out-of-town guests nearly took over the nearby small town of Wabasha, Minnesota, where everyone was staying—and the wedding festivities, including a rehearsal dinner and welcome party, gave everyone a place to catch up, share memories and celebrate together.
