Wedding: September 8, 2018

Ceremony & Reception: YMCA Camp Sturtevant, Wausau

Honeymoon: Duluth, Grand Marais, Minn.

Ashley Zelenka and Evan Bohman went to the same tiny school—only 50 people in their graduating class—but it took the groom until college to ask the bride on a date. However, their big day made everything worth the wait. The couple had a private Catholic Mass a few days beforehand, so for their family celebration they embraced a nontraditional vibe. The guests couldn’t stop raving about the delicious “breakfast for dinner” meal, including the maple syrup handmade by the groom. Ashley and Evan transformed a rustic camp into an elegant affair, but the presence of puppy Auggie at the couple’s first look kept everyone down to earth (the adorable pooch kept getting caught in the bride’s tulle). As a wedding photographer herself, Ashley had spent years dreaming about her own big day and was overjoyed to see it all come together so perfectly.
