Ceremony & reception: Norskedalen Nature & Heritage Center, Coon Valley
Mini-moon: Northern Michigan
Samantha Bluske is a romantic—in fact, she’s read almost every Nicholas Sparks novel. The day she married William Palmer was a true expression of that romantic spirit, through and through. The rustic ceremony was held at Norskedalen Nature & Heritage Center in Coon Valley, highlighted by simple, elegant touches that reflected the couple’s personal style. Floral arrangements hanging in the rafters and wooden tables, benches and mismatched tableware sourced from rental shops lent a vintage-chic vibe. At cocktail hour, loved ones enjoyed live music and yard games, and the reception kicked off with guests presented with doughnuts from a handmade board (a special touch that showed off the couple’s shared sweet tooth). The family-style dinner kept guests mingling and kept the mood light. One of the highlights of the day for the country music-loving couple was their first dance to “Woman, Amen” by Dierks Bentley, performed live by acoustic duo Dan Sebranek and Mary Cortesi.
