Wisconsin Bride Fall/Winter 2023

Winter weddings in Wisconsin don’t have‭ ‬ to stay in a small box‭. ‬We can explore tropical foliage and whimsical blooms‭, ‬and with so much texture and movement‭, ‬these floral pieces‭ ‬ really brought this shoot to life‭.‬

Danielle Horvatin, owner of Rosewood Intimate Weddings

Using floral and foliage‭ ‬prominent in tropical environments‭, ‬we designed the centerpieces‭, ‬leis and boutonnieres in a minimalist manner‭ ‬to highlight their individuality‭.‬—Drew Hawley‭, ‬Flowers for Dreams

And what better way to end a photo shoot than with a real love story? Making the most of an amazingly romantic day, the entire team helped Savion carry out a surprise proposal. Before wrapping up, photographer Santiago Murillo and videographer Danielle Chaviano told Caleb they were going to get a “first look” shot. In a moment that Savion describes as a “roller coaster of emotions,” Caleb turned to Savion, preparing to fake a first look, and found Savion on bended knee! Congrats, Caleb and Savion! Our team is so lucky to have witnessed your proposal, and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for both of you  *

The floral colors were chosen based on the venue’s unique glass details,” says Drew Hawley of Flowers for Dreams on the striking backdrop behind the smitten couple.
An invitation suite by Lettered by Shi hints at adventures ahead with tropical motifs in moody tones of rust and sage and a hint of modern calligraphy on the envelope.
Honey pretzel bites and bratwurst skewers drizzled with house-made arancini by Tall Guy and a Grill make the perfect passed app for cocktail hour.
At a table for two, the grooms make a toast amid candlelight and petite centerpieces of ranunculus, orchids, anthurium, bird of paradise, palm leaves and ginger in a charming variety of vases
Lush creations by Flowers for Dreams teem with color and character, including anthurium, birds of paradise, ginger, orchids and calathea and palm leaves.
A hearty meal of charred pork loin with peach barbecue sauce, harvest succotash and roasted potatoes by Tall Guy and a Grill is plated to perfection on a robust table setting of matte black dinnerware, minimalist-mod gold flatware and earthy linens.
A quick change to a subtler adornment, this vivid boutonniere is ideal for an evening of dining and dancing.
Wearable florals like these leis of orchids and greenery, are a creative alternative to traditional floral pieces, and an especially striking ceremony accessory.
Your guests can take a break from the dance floor on this lounge set from Velvet Rentals. For added ambiance, the retro loveseat and hammered gold coffee table are topped off with twinkling tea lights and a spiky centerpiece.
The dashing duo, Caleb (left) and Savion are the epitome of elegance in their seasonally hued suits –– Savion’s a black and green floral tuxedo jacket custom-made by NL Suits, Caleb’s a burgundy suit from Express. Resplendent arrangements by Flowers for Dreams surround them in tones and textures that transport us to lands of sun and sand.
