Just like a breathtaking painting or a grand sculpture, it was hard to take your eyes of Allison and Alec on their sunny wedding day. With that said, their choice of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA) as both their ceremony and reception venue provided the perfect setting for their love to be on display. The bride looked stunning in a fit-and-flare gown and a veil that looked dreamlike when lifted on a breeze. The groom's tuxedo was the perfect amount of dapper elegance for the modern event. The bride and groom kept things intimate with a small wedding party of their siblings, and family members and friends who helped with everything from flowers to music to recording the special moments of the day, and more. Caynay Photo transformed this gorgeous affair into captured photographic memories that will last a lifetime. Now it's your turn to appreciate the artfulness of this couple's life-changing day. Enjoy!

From the Bride:
Alec and I chose to celebrate our big day in the city that has become our home, Madison. We felt the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA) Sculpture Garden provided an intimate and private space paired with a lively panoramic view of downtown. The peaceful garden contrasts beautifully with the hustle and bustle of State Street below.
The intimacy of the garden was mirrored with our small bridal party, as Alec's sister was my Maid of Honor and my brother was Alec's Best Man. Alec, and I also had a few close friends greet and seat our guests, in addition to showcasing musical talents. The rooftop ceremony was performed by Pastor Mike Hughes from Blackhawk Church, who has deeply impacted and inspired us throughout college, making the stories and prayer intimate, as well.
As it was a destination wedding for many of our friends and family, we prioritized convenience without compromising elegance. MMoCA provides a breathtaking and iconic three-story glass staircase and space for cocktail hour, as the rooftop ceremony arrangement is transformed into a garden-picnic inspired reception. The rooftop restaurant, Fresco, featured a locally sourced menu from the Dane County's Farmer's Market, as were our eclectic flower displays and bouquets, which were chosen and arranged by Alec's mother that morning. Lastly, the evening of dancing, with the Wisconsin State Capitol gleaming in the skyline, was made even sweeter by Madison Sweets cupcakes.
We are incredibly grateful for our parents, family, friends, and vendors for making our vision of simple and modern elegance, paired with Madison-inspired elements, come to life.
