Airy and timeless, Shelby and Zach's summer wedding day at The Abbey was dripping with elegant details and thoughtful touches. From the get-go the couple knew the color scheme of their big day would tastefully weave "something blue" throughout the design. A soft, summer shade of blue graced the pattern of the invitation suite and day of signage and was donned in a silken material by Shelby's bridesmaids. Opting for an effervescent, organic vibe for the evening, baby's breath was the sole flower du jour, casting a dreamy ambiance from the altar to the reception room. Bubbles floated in the air as Shelby and Zach walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, a scene that reflected their "cloud nine" feeling. Guests were treated with signature drinks, the "Girliepop" and two Miller Lites - one for now and one for later - and were guided to their tables with heartfelt letters written from the newlyweds. The ethereal reception space, accented with soft blue and baby's breath, set the scene for riotous enjoyment. Shelby and Zach provided their guests with flip flops on each seat to encourage dancing throughout the evening, which was thoroughly enjoyed thanks to the band Time Chicago. Ending on a high note, the bride and groom sang and danced on stage with the band, grateful to have celebrated their love surrounded by their friends and family.
