Theresa + Dan // Theresa is an old college friend of mine and I had the pleasure of taking her and Dan’s engagement photos this past summer in St. Louis. I ordered my bridesmaids dress for their wedding last month and it already arrived! I can’t wait for their joint bachelor/bachelorette festivities in Nashville in April!

Wow the last two days have been busy in a very good way! I welcome the distraction and anytime I can chat weddings makes my day! Over the last 48 hours I’ve had seven new wedding inquiries and a few people reach out on a business related side asking how I got started. I don’t have a glamorous answer for this. I never had any professional training , no business plan, no set goals even. I never really meant to have a business it just happened. I have always loved photography from a very young age I took photos and posed my sister and cousins (swipe) I shot and developed film in high school on the yearbook staff, as a young adult I was always the one with a camera and I have stacks of photo albums to prove it. But when I got married I got a “real” camera, learned manual settings and how to use light, started a free blog. From there honestly people just started asking for sessions, I was asked to second shoot weddings, booked my first wedding and charged a whopping $100. I had no idea what I was doing but my curiosity outweighed my fear for some reason. the universe was pushing me forward even though it was a scary!Everything fell into place and here I am sort of by progression I guess. Alls I know for sure is that I love it and it’s brought more joy and happiness to my life than I could have imagined! Year 11! Let’s do this!
