With a flexible layout, it can accommodate up to 350 guests for dinner at round tables. Though music is limited to string quartets, pianos, and harp performances, the beauty of this space is in the view. COMMUNITY TERRACE Maximum capacity: 250 for dinner at rounds of 9-10 (with tables on the dance floor), or 232 at rounds of 8 A versatile, enclosed space with glass panels offering panoramic views of Lake Monona. Two or four sections of the ballroom are ideal for dinner and dancing all in one room. One section is ideal for dancing with dinner held in the Grand Terrace.
MADISON BALLROOM For larger weddings, the Madison Ballroom offers 16-foot ceilings and a luxurious chandelier-lit ambiance. This expansive space can be divided into sections to accommodate groups of varying sizes, from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations.

EVJUE ROOFTOP GARDEN West Circle maximum capacity: Up to 250 guests theater style Center maximum capacity: Up to 500 guests theater style Monona Terrace is the only venue in Madison with a rooftop lakeside garden, perfect for ceremonies or cocktail receptions. DEDICATED EVENT COORDINATOR: After your Monona Terrace contract has been finalized, you’ll be assigned a Monona Terrace Event Coordinator and/or a Monona Catering Sales Manager. About two to three months before your event, you’ll be contacted to schedule a face-to-face meeting where all the event details will be gathered, questions will be answered, and helpful suggestions will be shared. As your big day approaches, your event coordinator will remain in close contact to ensure everything runs smoothly, giving you peace of mind that every detail is taken care of.

CATERING
Monona Catering has specialized in delicious food and impeccable service since the Monona Terrace opened its doors in 1997. As the exclusive in-house caterer for the venue, they are dedicated to making your wedding day an unforgettable culinary experience. In addition, Monona Terrace offers flexibility with your wedding cake options. You’re welcome to bring in your own tiered wedding cake (along with optional backup sheet cakes) from a licensed Wisconsin bakery, or you can choose to have their talented in-house pastry chef prepare a delectable display cake or unique dessert to perfectly complement your celebration.
ADDITIONAL AMENITIES
The venue provides everything you need for a flawless event, from top-tier catering and audiovisual support to a full range of event equipment. Included in your room rental are essential items such as tables and chairs for each room setup, a corded microphone or standing lectern, one easel, and a head table with risers (available in 16” or 24” high, arranged with your coordinator). If your event requires additional equipment, your coordinator can assist in sourcing items through local rental vendors.
Monona Terrace also offers a 24 x 24 dance floor, lighting, a variety of tables, including 66” rounds, cocktail tables, and rectangular options. For outdoor functions on the William T. Evjue Rooftop Gardens, 600 white folding chairs are available, with more available for rent if needed. Monona Catering includes white or ivory tablecloths and napkins at no charge, and additional linens, such as chair covers, can be rented for an additional cost. The venue is the exclusive provider of audiovisual services, ensuring your event is professionally presented with no technical issues, though musical equipment like DJ or band sound systems can be brought in. For more specialized needs, your Monona Terrace Event Coordinator will help with staging, extra lighting, parking, sound/lighting technicians, and more, with additional fees for certain items such as early move-in or late move-out, extra cleaning, and equipment.
