Inseparable from the moment they met, Matthew and Elizabeth first fell in love in the wintertime which permeated their relationship all the way to their wedding day on New Year's Eve years later. Embracing the yuletide aesthetics, historic venue The Lageret served as a charming and rustic backdrop for their nuptials. The natural wood and inviting ambiance was infused with a soft whimsicality as evergreen, white roses and baby's breath wreathed around space.

"We wanted the wedding to feel like an extension of everyday life," Elizabeth reflects, "We both love having people over and just being cozy at home, so we focused on creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere more than anything."

Ethereal in her wedding wear, the bride work a gauzy off-the-shoulder sleeved gown and baby's breath woven into her braided hair. She walked down the aisle with a lush white rose bouquet to Matthew in his classic suit where they would be married under soft drapery and bulbed lights. Officiated by Elizabeth's father, their ceremony was filled with the sweetness that defined the couple's relationship.

Flocked pine trees welcomed guests into the reception where minimalist décor allowed presence and connection to take center stage. A standout experience for the newlyweds' guests was custom newspaper featuring their love story, interactive elements, and even playful "guest awards." Complete with a sentimental memorial table, Elizabeth and Matthew were grateful for staying true to themselves on their winter wedding day by grounding in meaningful details and experiences.
