The Better It Gets: An Intimate and Charming Wedding at St. James 1868

Real Wedding
Original wedding plans were challenged by the pandemic but it was all worth the wait.

Wedding Date: Saturday, September 12, 2020

Laurel is a resident orthopedic surgeon in Minnesota and her fiancé Eric an orthopedic surgeon in Georgia. Their long-distance living situation and busy schedules were going make wedding planning a challenge and the pandemic definitely didn't help make it any easier which is why they needed the best team behind them. After having to postpone their Milwaukee Art Museum wedding due to Coronavirus just two months before the big day, the couple decided to honor their original wedding date with an intimate and safe micro wedding of 35 for their closest friends and family. In just two months' time, the couple with the help of the Events to a T team found a new venue and catering team, redesigned their entire wedding from a white and blue Art Museum wedding to a neutral polished St James 1868 wedding. The couple wanted to give hints and compliments to the design that is to come for their postponed wedding of 300 in 2021 without giving too much of the design away. This year's design was filled with greenery, texture and a neutral palette with an overall polished feel. The result was an intimate, beautiful wedding that didn’t feel at all like a Covid compromise.
