Understated but undeniably bold, Sara Soltis and Billy Andres’ wedding day was one to remember on the grounds of Camp Kettlewood. Having rented out the property for the weekend, the happy couple invited their closest friends and family to celebrate their love with a distinctive retro flair.
“Camp Andres” embraced an end-of-summer, funky color palette, with the bridesmaids dressed in burgundy, goldenrod or chartreuse gowns, while the groomsmen donned beige-hued suits. Guests gathered under the steamy blue sky amid the lush Midwestern campgrounds to bear witness to the pair’s sweet vow exchange. Sara floated down the aisle in an elegant, vintage-inspired ensemble to meet Billy at an altar composed of rustic wood garnished with bursts of contemporary florals in the shades du jour.
After the pair became husband and wife, attendees were escorted via golf carts to a spirited reception under the pavilion. Drinks awaited guests in ice-filled canoes as mismatched vintage tableware set a warm and eclectic tone for the evening. Refined centerpieces featuring anthurium, orchids, free spirit roses and amaranthus were balanced with playful camp flags that served as table numbers. Beneath a spinning disco ball and the warm glow of bulbed string lights, Sara and Billy reveled in their newlywed status, punctuating the evening with the comfort of s’mores beside the campfire.
