In a black and white wedding on New Year's Day, Cassie and Seth showed off their impeccable style as they each said "I Do" at the breathtaking Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts in Fond du Lac. Having met during a theater production in high school, the couple paid homage to their relationship roots by marrying on stage in the Center's Great Hall. Art deco elements could be seen throughout, with possibly the prettiest being the intricate beading of the bride's strapless gown bodice. The men looked dapper in sharp tuxedos, and the bridesmaids were chic in matching black floor-length gowns. No details were overlooked in this stunner, and they were all caught beautifully by Gosia's Photography. Come enjoy them for yourself...

From the bride:
Seth and I met while in high school, in rehearsals for an upcoming musical; he was in the pit band and I was the lead. We became the most unlikely of best friends and soon became more. He asked me to be his girlfriend in his parents' backyard, and to this day where he asked is still "our spot." We attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay together in the years following and moved in together.
In January of 2013, Seth planned a vacation for us in San Diego, where I would meet some more family of his, we would go on adventures, and maybe, just maybe, if my detective skills were correct, he was going to propose. The evening Seth proposed, we had a fabulous meal on the patio of the Hotel del Coronado before we walked under the stars down to the beach. As the waves crashed a few feet away from us, I stood in awe of the beauty of that moment. A sky full of stars, waves crashing, the San Diego skyline lit up in the background--I almost forgot why we were there. Almost. I turned around, and in the glow of the Hotel del, I could see Seth down on one knee. He said all the sweet nothings I ever wanted to hear, and I said "yes." We cried and slow danced on the beach until it got too chilly next to the water. I hadn't even realized that it was too dark to see what my ring looked like until we got close to the car. Icing on the cake!
Our wedding day was my vision come to life. It was fancy without being stuffy; it was fun yet polished. Our guests sipped champagne while moseying into the theatre, where Seth and I would soon exchange vows on a stage, symbolizing what brought us together in the first place. We had our guests bless our rings as they entered the theatre, be it through praying, recalling happy memories, or sending good vibes.
After the ceremony, the reception kicked off with a grand entrance, speeches, dancing, and served hors' d'oeuvres. At 10:00pm, a mashed potato bar came out, and we tossed the garter and bouquet. At 11:00pm, my bridesmaids and I unfurled rolls of bubble wrap onto the dancefloor and invited all guests to "Jump On It" a la Sir-Mix-A-Lot. I think I can speak for all of our guests when I say that I felt like a kid again and the grin on my face felt permanent for hours. Shortly after the bubble wrap surprise, my new husband donned a pair of Chubbies tuxedo shorts that he would rock for the rest of the night. I'm still shaking my head about it. On the last shuttle of the night, our guests were chanting "TACO BELL, TACO BELL, TACO BELL!" I stood up, looked the bus driver in the eyes in his rear-view mirror, and told him to take me home--it was an 18 hour long day after all!
Though the day had ended, the spirit and love that we shared with each other and our friends and families will stick with us forever. It was a beautiful start to a new year and a brand new life together.
