Adrianne and Garett met as locker neighbors in a small-town Wisconsin high school, started dating at 15 and 16 and followed each other to UW-Madison, graduating together in 2023. After a year living together in Chicago, Garett surprised Adrianne with a trip (destination unknown until they reached the gate) that ended with a proposal on the beach in Cape Cod over the Fourth of July weekend. They are each other's first and only relationship, a detail that shaped how they approached their wedding day.
The celebration was a deliberate blend of two visions. Adrianne wanted Italian villa drama with statues, pillars and elegance. Garett wanted Wisconsin at its best: indoor fireplaces, brandy old fashioneds and a wraparound bar. Rather than compromise, they did both.
The weekend opened with a rehearsal dinner at Villa Terrace in Milwaukee, complete with a harpist playing on the patio in perfect weather. The following morning, the couple married at the Basilica of Saint Josaphat with the full basilica orchestra, a nod to their shared Catholic faith and its beauty and reverence. The reception followed at The Legend at Brandybrook, where Wisconsin culture took center stage with cocktails, beer and cheese in abundance.
Florals were kept all white with greenery, clean and classic, against the butter yellow bridesmaid dresses. The wedding cake nodded to old-fashioned elegance and was crowned with a pair of swans, a fitting symbol for two people who have only ever chosen each other.
The most memorable moment came just after the ceremony, when the doors closed behind them and for one brief minute it was just the two of them—laughing and holding each other, knowing everything that came before and everything still ahead.
