Perched on the shores of Lake Geneva, Pier 290 hosted a captivating styled shoot that effervescently embraced the lake’s serene beauty. This intimate event showcased a seamless blend of romance and personalized quirkiness, with each detail thoughtfully designed to highlight the venue’s locale and our couple’s relationship. Soft hues of blush, peach and coral florals played a starring role throughout the day, lending whimsy to the sophisticated space and enhancing the tranquil lakeside atmosphere.
The bride exuded elegance in an off-the-shoulder gown adorned with layers of soft tulle and delicate ruffles, creating a dreamy, voluminous silhouette. Her look was completed with a classic updo and a bouquet of vibrant peonies in blush and coral hues, adding a pop of color to her ethereal ensemble. The groom complemented her perfectly in a tailored navy suit paired with a soft blush tie, adding a touch of refinement and balance to the overall aesthetic.
A custom floral arch served as the focal point for the ceremony, placed strategically to frame the expansive views of Lake Geneva. Lush blooms, including Japanese Itoh peonies and ranunculus, cascaded from the arch in soft pinks and oranges, offering a sense of organic beauty that perfectly complemented the natural waterfront backdrop. “The backdrop featured the debut of a new hook base,” explains Mary Jo Borchardt, founder and creative director of Atmospheric Floral. “We love how it’s an exciting twist on an arch backdrop but also wanted it to flow beautifully so we could repurpose it in the reception space.”
