It’s no surprise that Jack Porritt and Rachel Beletti ended up together. Growing up, both spent summers on Lake Geneva, though they didn’t cross paths until 2012, when they met through mutual friends in college. The couple’s romance was a journey: college, long-distance dating, making a home together in Chicago, and, of course, a proposal. A nervous Jack took Rachel to their favorite lookout spot on the lake to pop the question. Then, another surprise: an engagement party with family and friends. It was only fitting the couple wed on Lake Geneva. “It grew to become such a meaningful spot for us,” Rachel said. A bright and airy palette of whites and greens welcomed guests as they found their table numbers written on miniature boats. The first look was a favorite moment for the couple, full of joyful tears. As the reception began, Jack and Rachel impressed everyone with their first dance, which they had been practicing for months before the wedding. “We still like to dance in our kitchen,” Rachel says, “to remind us of that moment.”
