A whirlwind romance unfolded on Pewaukee Lake, where Molly Ogden and John Cody Ziegler’s paths often crossed amid summers of sailing and days by the water. In 2020, their connection deepened into something more, and after a trip to Snowmass, Colorado, their love officially set sail. “She is my best friend, my greatest adventure, and the love of my life,” Cody says. Their wedding day was laced with familial details and honored the places that shaped them. “I dos” were shared within the historic walls of Immanuel Presbyterian Church, where Molly’s great-grandparents were among the founding members over one 100 years ago. The celebration continued at the Ogden’s picturesque 19-acre waterside farm residence, where guests were immediately transported to an old-world atmosphere as they arrived by wagon. “We wanted our guests to experience the land and water as we do: connected, intentional and alive with tradition,” Molly explains. “From start to finish, it was a true farm-to-table-to-lake experience.” After cocktail hour in the historic barns, a string trio lured guests to an expansive sailcloth tent surrounded by Highland cows. From the dinner, which featured locally grown ingredients and honey from the farm, to the vintage boats repurposed as a bar and dessert display, every element was intentionally chosen to reflect the couple’s epic love story and legacy.
