When out-of-staters think Wisconsin, they probably don’t think coastal vistas. But Ingrid Zweifel Jacobs grew up in Sheboygan, so she knew Brandon Jacob’s California family and friends would be stunned by the views of vast Lake Michigan and the lush, rolling hills of Whistling Straits golf club. (Attendants also got a kick out of getting ready in the PGA championship locker room.) The tented ceremony unfolded overlooking the water and the reception was housed in a stone structure with one wall open to the lake. Graphic designer Brandon created the classic Roaring ’20s-style invitations in shades of coral, navy, gold and cream, setting the design theme for the event. Ingrid, a former dancer with the Houston Ballet, partied with her guests to a seven-piece band while sipping Wisconsin old-fashioneds and dancing the night away.
