Stephanie and Todd's story began in February 2019 at Lumber Baron's in Grand Rapids, where Todd made his intentions clear early by taking her to the top floor of the Amway Grand Plaza for dinner at Cygnus. Years later, the proposal came on a quiet Sunday with a surprise box of treats from Stephanie's favorite local bakery, Bloom Bake Shop.
Coordinated by Kristen at Copper Feather Events, Stephanie and Todd's day was elegant and unhurried. The two kept things intentionally small with just 40 guests at Maple Bluff Country Club. The outdoor ceremony took place on the green on a perfect 70-degree October afternoon.
The florals leaned into a refined garden aesthetic with a monochromatic white palette, featuring voluminous hydrangeas, garden roses and airy delphinium arranged asymmetrically on white pedestals of varying heights. Signature cocktails were a Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet and a French 75. In place of a traditional guest book, the couple assembled a collection of vintage postcards representing every place they had traveled together and every destination still on the list. A memorial table featured framed wedding portraits of their parents and grandparents, honoring the love stories that came before theirs.
Worth noting: Stephanie made it to the altar fresh off a morning ER visit for food poisoning. By all accounts, it was still a perfect day.
