For Megan and Austin, June has always held special meaning. The couple began dating in June, got engaged a few years later and ultimately chose the same month to say “I do.” Set against sweeping river views, La Pointe Events served as a blank-slate backdrop for their wedding day. Inspired by lush garden celebrations, the venue was filled with baby pink and white roses, hydrangeas, baby’s breath and sunset-hued peonies, creating an airy, romantic atmosphere. The bride and groom exchanged vows with the river softly flowing nearby and surrounded by their closest friends and family.
The ceremony altar featured a white cross handcrafted by the bride’s father and draped in florals, while the aisle itself overflowed with blooms. In a nod to their country roots, the groom and groomsmen wore cowboy boots beneath neutral-toned summer suits; the bridesmaids complemented the palette in baby-pink dresses. Following the intimate ceremony, additional loved ones joined the couple for cocktail hour to toast the newlyweds.
Megan honored her parents during the reception by changing into her mother's wedding dress for a touching father-daughter dance. As the evening unfolded, blush tapers and soft florals set the scene for a true Wisconsin celebration, complete with cheese curds and pizza. Thoughtful details carried through the night, from custom drink cozies featuring the couple’s pets to a special appearance by their pup for family photos. As dusk settled in, Megan slipped into her final look of the night — a strapless mini — and the celebration kicked into high gear.
