The pops of vibrant colors at this Deer Valley Lodge wedding had us at first glance. From the bride's sweet tea-length gown, to the groom's retro-inspired headwear and sneakers, to the couple's four children integral in the ceremony details, Kari and Chad's big day was filled with adorable and heart-warming qualities. The guest list was intimate, made up of the couple's closest friends and family. But from the happiness-filled images captured by Ann Gorgen Photography, i's obvious that the small size did not mean being short on fun and celebration. "Our wedding was perfect!" I'm sure you hear that more often than not from brides, but there is no better word that sums up our day, so I'm going with perfect. We were married on Friday, October 24, 2014 under the gazebo at Deer Valley Lodge in Barneveld. The group was fairly small, with our family and closest friends present, but the presence of love, excitement, and joy was prominent. Our children, Mikenzie, Ava, Isabel, and Sylis, were included throughout the day. They walked us each down the aisle, participated in a family promise during the ceremony, and danced the night away to the music provided by John Sherman from Celebrations Entertainment. We are so thankful that we chose Ann Gorgen Photography to capture our day. Our pictures show exactly what the day was all about: love, family and fun.
