A sweet, comfortable garden party—that’s what Katie Nevers and Joe Hagenbucher had in mind as they planned their big day. They set the date on the anniversary of her beloved grandparents’ wedding. To honor them, the couple showcased their original wedding photo and featured them in an anniversary dance. Burlap draped over linens, strings of twinkling lights overhead and candles everywhere made for a magical feel. Katie’s florist created a pastel wildflower-inspired cascade atop the existing arbor and finished the soft pink bridal bouquet with a lace wrap and vintage brooch. Both big readers, the couple featured books at every turn, including one with a heart cutout to hold the rings during the ceremony. Guests noshed on appetizers and warmed themselves around the s’mores bar, which crackled late into the evening.
